BC Achievement Scholarships recognize the top 8000 graduates in the province. The Ministry will determine recipients based on achievement in Grades 10, 11, and 12 courses that satisfy 2004 Graduation Program requirements, including elective courses. Grad Transitions will not be included.
A cumulative average percentage will be calculated and form the basis for determining winners, who receive a $1250 scholarship voucher to use towards their post-secondary tuition. Students do not apply for this scholarship.

Winners will have demonstrated service and leadership, both at school and in their communities, and shown aptitude and commitment to their chosen career paths. The Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship is awarded to 20 outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated a commitment and aptitude for a career path in K-12 teaching. Winners receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to redeem when they are registered and attending an approved K-12 teacher education program at one of BC’s nine Faculties of Education. There are 5500 District/Authority Scholarships distributed across school districts and independent school authorities that recognize graduating B.C. students for excellence in their chosen area of interest or strength. Winners will receive a $1250 scholarship voucher to use towards their post-secondary tuition.

Students can apply for this scholarship through their school counsellor. All Independent school students will be asked to give a presentation about themselves in front of a group of adjudicators at an evening event hosted by FISA (Federation of Independent Schools Association) in late April.

Two scholarships of $1500 each will be awarded in the name of Father Emmanuele Rosaia, a Franciscan Missionary Priest who gave unselfishly of his time and energy to many a person and to the Italian community in particular. Applicants must be Roman Catholic and of Italian-Canadian origin, expected to graduate with a B grade point average or higher and have plans to attend a university or community college where studies will lead to a university degree in Canada or another country. Applicants must submit a word processed letter of no more than 400 words, double spaced, with full contact information, explaining why they deserve to be the recipients of the scholarship. Applicants must also submit no less than three letters of reference, one of which must be written by the applicant's parish priest and one of which must be written by a current teacher of the applicant, supporting the scholarship application explaining why he is an appropriate candidate for the scholarship. 2016-2017 requirements and deadlines will be posted when they are received. The Loran Awards are extremely prestigious and highly competitive. Awards range from $100.000.00 on down. Students can apply either as school sponsored applicants or direct pool.
