June is finally here and at last we are seeing some good weather after a terrible winter. With June’s arrival, we are entering a time of transition at STMC. We will soon be saying good-bye to our Grade 12 class and we wish you well in your next endeavours. While we will miss them next year, we are very confident that they are moving on to become great members of society and will represent STMC well. In a couple of months, all of our remaining students will be transitioning to their next grade and we will be saying hello to our new Grade 8 class.
It is also a time of transition in school leadership. Mr. DesLauriers will be leaving us to begin a new and exciting chapter in his life with the challenge of building Metro Vancouver’s newest Catholic high school. We wish him well and thank him for everything that he has done for STMC. Mr. DesLauriers will always be a part of the history and culture of STMC. Once a Knight, always a Knight. We will be welcoming our new principal, Mr. Garland, who will be joining us in the summer so that he can hit the ground running in the new school year. We are very excited about what he is bringing to our school and how he can add to our culture and legacy. To everyone else, a wish from the STMC Board for a safe and happy summer. Looking forward to seeing you all in the new school year.
Live Jesus in our hearts,
STMC Board Chair
