St. Thomas More Collegiate has two personal counselling professionals on staff to support our families on any mental health issues that can affect their success, such as time management, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, body image, confidence, esteem, and much more. Counselling is available to all students as well as families of students.
Counselling is offered as a confidential service so that students can feel safe to talk about their issues. Students can make appointments either by dropping in or reserving a block. Parents can make an appointment either by emailing or calling the counsellor.
Mr. Steve DeLazzari is available Mondays through Fridays, with the exception of block C & E.
Ms. Brooke Lewis is available Tuesdays through Thursdays.
In addition to individual counselling, Mr. DeLazzari and Ms. Lewis host a Parent Education Series one evening per month to help educate parents on teen mental health issues. Topics for this series include anxiety, depression, boy issues, girl issues, technology trends, and drug awareness.
For more information about personal counselling services, please feel free to contact either Mr. DeLazzari or Ms. Lewis.
