The annual walkathon at St. Thomas More Collegiate is the school’s largest student fundraiser and is a much anticipated tradition that showcases STMC’s vibrant school spirit and the school community’s generosity and commitment to living the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brother Education.
On Friday, October 7, 2016, the students of St. Thomas More Collegiate donned red day attire and participate in the annual walkathon through Burnaby in order to raise money to enhance the school community and provide outreach.
Additional projects that will be chosen by the student body in September – examples of past initiatives include contributing to the new athletic facility, courtyard tables, grad activities and upgrades to student facilities. In order to reach our goal each student needs to raise a minimum of $80.
We are excited to partner again with chimp.net to offer students the ability to do their fundraising online this year! Fundraising continues till the end of October: however the cut-off for the Top 10 Student Fundraisers is Friday, Oct. 14 at 4:00pm, and the deadline to get a Walkathon t-shirt (for those who will have fundraised $80) is Friday, Oct. 21.
