House Dodgeball continues this week. House points are up for grabs in the next few weeks! Check Ms. Lauang’s wall or the TVs for schedules.

February saw the beginning of STMC’s first ever chess tournament! Players, check emails for schedule and opponents. Next round is Monday!

Next week is our Academic help Advisory sessions. Students have sign up for a course to either help others or receive help. Over 100 students signed up to be “tutors” for the session! Well done Knights! Students check your school emails for where your session is. Advisory runs after 1st block this wednesday.


This Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day. It is a day to raise awareness about the issue of bullying.

From the official Pink Shirt Day page:

Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and online. Over the month of February, and throughout the year, CKNW Kids’ Fund’s Pink Shirt Day aims to raise awareness of these issues, as well as raise funds to support programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem.

Students are invited to wear pink shirts in order to show support on this day. Bottoms however, must be part of the school code.


STMC Track and Field begins on Monday. Practices will begin at 3pm on the Track. The Annual Quadrathon competition will take place on Wednesday February 28th at 3pm. Any student who would like to join and sign up on google classroom which is located around the school or speak with Mr. Mattiazzo.


School-wide Lenten Confessions are scheduled to take place on Tuesday March 5th and Wednesday March 6th. Several priests from the New Westminster Deanery will offer this sacrament to our students:

Tuesday March 5th
Block D- Grade 11 Students
Block A – Grade 10 Students

Wednesday March 6th
Block H- Grade 12 Students
Block E- Grade 9 Students
(Grade 8 students will have their confessions during their religion blocks on these days).

Get ready to showcase your musical prowess at the upcoming Music Showcase, a talent show fundraiser where students can shine, regardless of their musical background. Music Council is running this exciting event on April 3rd from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Audition Details:
Performances will be decided on through an audition.The audition form below is where you or your group can audition to perform at Showcase. Even if you’re not a music student, you can audition to perform. This form is due on March 10th and will also be in the QR codes on the posters around the school and on the Music Instagram page. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this incredible night — submit your audition ASAP so that you or your group can have lots of time to prepare.
