During his 10-day expedition to Antarctica in partnership with National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions, STMC physics teacher Mr. Joe Muise equipped himself with various data-collecting gear. Notably, he carried with him a FLIR ONE Edge mobile thermal camera, aiming to capture thermal images of glaciers and icebergs.

Muise plans to integrate his findings into his lessons, using the thermal imaging data as a case study to engage students in understanding and addressing climate change in their communities and beyond. To read more about the thermal images Mr. Muise took with the FLIR ONE Edge, read more on Teledyne Flir’s article.
