Today, Premier John Horgan and Rob Fleming, BC’s education minister, made the announcement that BC schools will be closed as part of the process of containing the spread of COVID-19. STMC will remained closed until further notice.
With that said, STMC students will begin to make the transition to online e-based teaching & learning, on April 1, 2020. This is a new process which will allow us to make use of the 1:1 Chromebook initiative where students will be able to continue learning remotely.
Making this transition will undoubtedly have its own challenges, where everyone will need to familiarize themselves to this new process. A more comprehensive plan will be formulated by the end of next week. Stay tuned for updates as the situation is continues to unfold.
