SUMMARY:Terry Fox Run
DESCRIPTION:Organized by StAC this year\, we want to re-emphasise the meaning of the Terry Fox run and how cancer as a whole affects our community by renewing the message of Terry’s run. We want to bring fresh attention to it\, distinguishing it from “Walk-a-Thon” or  just another red day. \nThis year\, we’re making a change: instead of red day attire\, students and staff are encouraged to wear certain colours to support the cancer that has affected them in some way. When the run is in action\, students will be able to look around and find people who are sharing/going through similar experiences. \nHere are the colours: \n\nPink is for breast cancer\nBlack is for skin cancer\nWhite for lung cancer\nOrange for leukemia\nBlue for colon cancer\n\nAs a school\, our goal is $10 per person which is roughly $7\,000. In addition\, for every $1000 raised\, the cross country team will be doing one lap of the Terry Fox run route (1.4k x 7= 9.8k if we meet the goal!). \nStAC looks forward to seeing us remember the importance of Terry’s message and do our part as a community to continue on the legacy and spread cancer awareness. \nFor more info\, check out @stmcstac on Instagram.
