Sound Meditation is an immersive meditative experience where practitioners are bathed in sound waves, and has been used for centuries to rekindle harmony within the mind, body and soul. It is an invitation to rest and receive, free from distractions, and regular exposure to this type of calming experience can have a great impact on enhancing overall wellbeing.

Participants who come to a session are guided into a comfortable position — often laying down on a mat with a blanket, a pillow and an eye covering. Lying down is not mandatory! Some prefer to stay seated for the practice. During the soundscape journey, frequencies from the alchemy singing bowls facilitate shifts in brain states from a more active state to a relaxed and even dreamlike one; the parasympathetic nervous system is signalled, allowing the body to rest. With some gentle guidance and a sacred container of safety, release and restoration can occur, leaving a sense of tranquility and invigoration. The vibrations created reverberate long after the session is over — similar to when you stand next to a speaker and not only hear the music, but feel it. The experience can be long lasting because vibration touches every part of our physical being, including our cells.

Sound Meditation can bring insights that may not otherwise be noticed. During a session, we may become aware of repetitive thoughts or narratives that are no longer serving us, and through our becoming aware of them we are also empowered to let them go — to rewrite our script and create new neural pathways in the brain. Stuck emotions may rise to the surface and bring a sense of release and lightness of being. Each experience is unique to you and will meet you exactly where you are, and for what you need.
