Truth & Reconciliation Service

This is a reminder for all students that there will be the Truth and Reconciliation service on Tuesday. The service provides an opportunity for all Knights to reflect and honour the survivors of residential schools and those who support them.

Please remember to wear orange for this day.

Cross Country

Mr. Rogalski, Mrs. DeWith and Coach Barb are excited to coach the STMC Cross Country team. Consistently, about 20-25 dedicated athletes attend practices in preparation for our meets. During our first meet on September 25 at Central Park (Burnaby) our athletes performed well and exceeded their expectations!

Our next meet is on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Mundy Park in Coquitlam. If you happen to be in the area between 3:30-5:00, come and cheer on these STMC athletes.

Learning Resources Centre

The Learning Resources Centre is looking for a Nintendo Switch. If you have one that you no longer use, we would love the opportunity to put it to good use.

Your donation would help us enhance the experience for students that are a part of the LRC.

Drama: Call for Student Directors

The drama department is looking for student directors to lead this year’s one-act festival production that will happen during the week of March 9th-15th. As a student director, you will have the opportunity to select a short one-act play (20 mins approx.), cast actors, and oversee the creative elements of the performance.

Specific responsibilities include:
– Selecting an appropriate one-act play script
– Holding auditions and casting actors
– Leading rehearsals and providing direction to the cast
– Collaborating with the technical crew on set design, props, costume, lighting, and sound
– Attending production meetings and communicating with the faculty director
– Guiding the artistic vision for the performance

This is an excellent leadership opportunity for students interested in theater production and directing. I am mainly looking for Grade 11-12 students who have had experience in acting in previous STMC drama productions.
If you are passionate about directing and want to gain hands-on experience, we encourage you to apply.

Please contact the drama department () if you are interested in serving as a student director for the one-act festival.

Grade 8 and 12 Mixer

The Student Council is excited to announce that it will be hosting the annual Grade 8/12 Mixer! This is a dance that will take place on Wednesday, October 2nd, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the school cafeteria. This event is a fantastic opportunity for Grade 8 students to meet and interact with their Grade 12 counterparts in a fun and welcoming environment.

Grade 8 students are to wear white and Grade 12 students will wear black to the event.
