On October 14, we followed up last year’s Faith Lecture Series with thought-provoking questions at the crossroads of faith, science, the Church, and society. Our first speaker for 2025 is Mr. Darrell Hall, who delivered a presentation titled, “Love That Breaks Chains: The Courage to Forgive”.
The talk looked into the transformative power of love and forgiveness, revealing that letting go of anger, bitterness, and revenge is not a burden, but a path to freedom and peace. It explored how mastering one’s emotions enables individuals to rise above hurt, how forgiveness reflects the way of Jesus and the cross, and how it helps people become their best selves. Through real, modern stories of individuals choosing love over resentment, and inspired by C.S. Lewis’ reminder that God has forgiven the inexcusable in us, the talk illustrated that forgiveness is both possible and life-changing for everyone. Ultimately, it served as a reminder that forgiveness is both a challenge and a gift—a choice that transforms us and the world around us when we follow the way of love.
