Truth and Reconciliation Service
Our annual Truth and Reconciliation service will take place on Monday September 29th. Our school community will gather in the gymnasium and take some time to reflect on the importance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This is an important time to acknowledge Canada’s history and to stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples.
Orange Shirt Day
The STMC community will be honouring Orange Shirt Day on Monday September 29th with respect to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. All staff and students are invited to wear their orange shirts (no jerseys) with their uniforms. This is not a dress down day, so regular uniform attire is required. However, we would love to see as many orange Indigenous shirts as possible on Monday. We will also be providing orange ribbons for all students during first block.
There are many events happening across Metro Vancouver on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Tuesday, September 30). We encourage you to participate in an event in your neighbourhood.

Immunization Forms
Every year, STMC partners with Fraser Health to aid in immunizations for our grade 9 students. The immunization clinic dates this year will be:
Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 and Friday, October 10th, 2025
This year Fraser Health is utilizing online consent forms for routine school aged immunizations. While physical letters of consent will to be distributed to students who do not provide online consent to ensure everyone has access to these clinics, families are encouraged to provide consent online to save time and paper.
Families can review and provide consent at the following link:
https://immunizationconsent.gov.bc.ca/s/
Families are also encouraged to check their student’s immunization records even if they are not in grade 9 to ensure their immunizations are up to date. During the clinics routine school aged immunizations can be requested and administered for any grade level of student. Families can check their child’s immunization records online to see if they need any vaccines by logging into immunizationconsent.gov.bc.ca/s/ then looking at “Immunization Forecast”.
If you have any questions, please contact our school nurse line at 604-918-6920.
Here is the School Vaccination Information for Parents document. Other resources from Fraser Health can also be found at: https://www.fraserhealth.ca/SchoolHealth
