Just before Spring Break the Genocide Studies classes had the opportunity to visit the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre. Students participated in two sessions; moral decision making during the Holocaust that centered on why some people were willing to risk it all to help the Jewish victims, and propaganda used by the Nazis to glorify their cause while dehumanizing the Jewish people.
Students also had the opportunity to look at artifacts from the Holocaust donated by the local Jewish community. Great learning opportunity for the students that deepened their understanding of this historically important time.
