Welcome, new families of STMC!
We know that the first day of school can induce some nerves in our new students and, as a result, all of our new students come in a day earlier than the rest of the school so that they can get further acclimated to their new environment.
For Grade 8’s:
Grade 8’s are required to attend our Grade 8 orientation which is organized by our Student Council. This day expands on the experiences and community building that occurred at Jump Start, introduces Grade 8’s to our Student Council and older students, and allows for opportunities to ask older students questions they may have about their schedules, classes, etc.
Grade 8’s will be active and should be in dress code, but comfortable shoes would be wise! They will also be having lunch with their groups, so we would advise bringing lunch that day. Details are below.

For new Grade 9-12’s:
New students joining Grades 9-12 are required to attend our New Student Orientation which is organized by our Vice Principals: Ms. Cassie Lauang and Mr. Ethan Shoemaker. This day will go through the must knows of STMC: an introduction to school culture, calendar, bell schedules, their own schedules and will facilitate meetings with faculty members who may ease their transition into their new school. They will also receive their PowerSchool and Google Suite information and their Chromebooks. Details are below.
