Walkathon is this Wednesday! We are currently at 34% of our goal! Every single contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. With over 700 students in the school, there’s so much potential to reach our goal!
Thank you so much to our top fundraisers so far:
Incoln Chan – $1200
Nathaniel Blanca – $1100
Grace Hefner – $1000
Mackenzie Pagtakhan – $650
Sophie Chan – $645
Here’s how you can support:
1) Donate or share the fundraising link on your social media accounts: www.tinyurl.com/stmcwalks25
2) Spread the word with your family, friends and communities whether it’s your parishes and weekend extracurricular activities!
We are looking to raise $40,000 this year in order to fund a few student-driven initiatives that will contribute to student life and school spirit.
These initiatives include:
- a) new and fixed drinking fountains throughout the school
- b) seating for the front foyer
- c) speaker system for our multipurpose room and fitness centre
Thank you for all your continued support!

Supporting STMC Grad 2025
Graduation is one of the most special milestones in a student’s life — and it takes a supportive community to make these celebrations truly unforgettable!
We are reaching out to all STMC parents across all grades to invite you to get involved, get a sneak peek at our exciting grad events, and pay it forward by helping this year’s graduates and their families fully enjoy this important moment.
We particularly need volunteers for two key events:
- Grad Mass & Reception
- Dry Grad
Even signing up for a shift or two will make a huge difference. Please consider lending a hand by signing up here: volunteersignup.org/KP7HH
As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Together, we can make this a truly memorable and meaningful celebration for our graduating students.
Thank you for your support — we can’t do it without you!
Warm regards,

Lenten Journey Reflections
The theme for our Living Jesus in our Hearts Throughout Life initiative for this week is: Laudato Si – The Care for All Creation. We are invited to reflect on the how we can care for all of God’s creations.
For each person, this theme may resonate in a unique yet deeply personal way. It might invite you to consider how you can care for the environment. For others, it could mean reflecting on when it is our time, how we can leave our communities in a better state than when we arrived.
This week’s reflection is: What are some of God’s creations that is often overlooked? How can I care for these?
We encourage you to take a brief moment to have a short conversation about this—whether with a sibling, friend, child, parent, or as a family—during dinner, on the ride home from school, or whenever you find a quiet moment together.
We would love to hear about the discussions that take place. If you could take a couple minutes to submit your reflection and be part of this shared experience of faith. These reflections not only deepen your own journey but also inspire and uplift our community.

Mikey’s Run
In honour of STMC Class of ’07 Grad Mike Lowe who we sadly lost last June, we encourage you to take part in Mikey’s Run. This event happens on June 29th, 2025 at the Burnaby Lake Rugby Fields.
Mike was a devoted father, son, brother, husband, friend, and a proud STMC Alum. This run is more than a tribute to Mike’s love of running – it’s a call to action. Let’s honour his legacy by creating space for openness, connection, and support. Volunteers and/or runners are encouraged to sign up through the website, Mikey’s Run.
