Walkathon 2025

By April 14, 2025Events, News

Update #2

We are approximatey two weeks out from our Walkathon fundraiser! We are off to an amazing start as we are currently at 21% of our goal with 26 of our students and their families contributing – thank you! Every single contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. With over 700 students in the school, there’s so much potential to reach our goal!

Thank you so much to our top fundraisers so far!

Incoln Chan – $1100
Grace Haffner – $1000
Nathaniel Blanca – $810
Wyatt Kully – $600
Sophie Chan – $585

Here’s how you can support:

1) Donate or share the fundraising link on your social media accounts: www.tinyurl.com/stmcwalks25
2) Spread the word with your family, friends and communities whether it’s your parishes and weekend extracurricular activities!

We are looking to raise $40,000 this year in order to fund a few student-driven initiatives that will contribute to student life and school spirit.

These initiatives include:

a) new and fixed drinking fountains throughout the school
b) seating for the front foyer
c) speaker system for our multipurpose room and fitness centre

Thank you for all your continued support!

Update #1

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Walkathon efforts so far! We have currently reached 8% of our $40,000 goal with 13 students leading the way! We’re off to a strong start—and there’s still lots of time to get involved. We’re looking forward to seeing even more students sign up and contribute. Every donation, big or small, helps us reach our goal, and your encouragement at home can make all the difference!

At the end of the day, Student Council will be doing a draw for a Popeye’s gift card for students who have successfully created their fundraising page and who received donations through their CanadaHelps account. Lastly, congratulations to Mr. Bouwman’s A block Religion 12 and Mr. Zimmermann’s H block Religion 12 classes who won a pizza party next week as a result of Nathaniel Blanca and Wyatt Kully’s efforts.

Thanks again for everyone’s continued support!

Walkathon 2025 Committee

We are 4 weeks out from our annual Walkathon fundraiser! This year, we are running our fundraiser in conjunction with our House Games on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. We are so pleased to announce that we were able to purchase our new 15 seater school van in November 2024 using Walkathon funds!

Historically, funds raised by students through this event have allowed our school community to purchase our Knight costume which you see often at community events, pioneered our 1:1 Chromebook initiatives through the purchase of Chromebook carts, contributed to our library and cafeteria renovation and more!

We are looking to raise $40,000 this year in order to fund a few student-driven initiatives that will contribute to student life and school spirit.

These initiatives include:

  1. a) new and fixed drinking fountains throughout the school
    b) seating for the front foyer
    c) speaker system for our multipurpose room and fitness centre

Before spring break, students signed up for their Walkathon pages through CanadaHelps. If your child was absent or was having trouble setting up their CanadaHelps page, please direct them to Mr. O’Genski () in the Development & Community Relations Office across from the library.

You may donate through the link below. Thank you for your support!
